Malinska - boat trips Mechlin - Planckendael

My name is Yoran.

I've just come home from Planckendael and am still recovering from our family day out, full of fun, adventure and a learning experience.
My brother Ilias loves Bonobo's. At home he's always acting as a monkey as well.
Even the yourney was fun! We caught the train in Ghent and got off at Mechlin station. There the colourfull Malinska boats were waiting for us.
For our boattrip out we sailed on the Balou; an Asian boat with an enormous rhinoceros. After half an hour we were in the park, no ques and no traffic jams.
Grandma and grandpa also came along with us. They came with the car and because they didn't have to pay for the carpark next to where the boats are, grandma treated us to an ice cream.
Our trip back with the new ‘Likamboté' boat was just as wonderfull! Did you know that on this African boat there were 2 giant giraffs and a zebra? My little brother Egon played the djembé the whole trip and I saw a stork fly by with the binoculars.
I hope that we can visit Planckendael again very soon, as it was a day out to remember!

These last two departure times apply only during the months July and August!
